Sermon today was good... (:
i try to refrain from saying that... coz its like we shouldn't be judging sermons from good and bad right? its good if its in God's sight isn't it... well.. so just say that today's sermon was good for me...i felt like He spoke to me through the sermon today.... (: so i'd share it with you all...

James 3:13-18 - Two Kinds of Wisdom
13Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. 16For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
17But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peaceloving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

James was Jesus's brother. James was like the 1st book to be written of the New Testament. It was penned after the resurrection of Jesus. Why only then? coz though Jesus and James grew up together, for 30 years they lived together and though James knew Jesus, he didn't know Jesus as God, he was blind to that. Till he saw the resurrection. Then he realised the truth. And he realised how he should live with that knowledge of the truth. How scary it is, to know God so well, yet, to not actually believe. Yet not to act like we do. I fear that. I fear complacency in my relationship with Him. I fear that i'd end up knowing much, but yet, knowing nothing at all. What is then the result of a foolish life?

Matthew 7:24-27 - To build your house on rock or on sand
Matthew 25:1-13 - The parable of the wise and foolish virgins
Luke 12:13-20 - The parable of the rich fool

3 old familiar stories..
Stories I've heard since I was a kid...
Stories looked from a different angle today..
Stories that apply to believers and non-believers alike...
Stories i fear reflect mine...
Stories that tugged at my heart and my conscience today...
Stories that made me bow down and say "I'm sorry Father."
