HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DARLING SIS!! *muacks*
so its my jie-jie's bday.. wow... its been long since i called you that jie.. ;P
i stopped calling you jie since i dunnoe.. sec school?
aahhh.. those were the days... of intense rivalry.. but only on my part...
since pri sch, i always wanted to beat Jean.. i guess by nature i like to win... but perhaps as the middle child, i always felt like i had to do more to stand out...i felt like i had to win in everything to gain the affection of my parents...and i felt that it was 2-way.. like Jean was trying to beat me in everything too...
ALL the way up till end of lower sec.. then something happened... i guess you can call it "growing up" or "becoming more mature".. but i started to see that this rivalry was ruining our relationship.. and i started to want to not beat Jean, but be close to her..i wanted a sister.. then we started to hang out and go out.. (yes, as sisters, we didn't do too much of that before this, unless it was family outings..)
anyways, it was through this "getting to know my sis' that i realised that all the time i've been building this wall around myself... and i've shut myself up... and that i've been imagining the rivalry to be 2-sided.. (apparently, i was e only crazy one who just wanted to win)
i glad i found that out sooner and not later.. so i could open up myself to discover the wonderful person that my darling sis is..
the one who knows the worse of my habits and still loves me..
the one who i can go to in the middle of the night, when i need someone to talk to..
the one who will let me cry and complain, when i just knock on her door...
the one who i do take for granted sometimes coz she's so close.. (i know never to do tt anymore.. there's no Jean in canada!)
the one who i sometimes vent my anger on.. (thank you for being so patient)
the one who bakes brownies coz she knows Elizabeth and I love them (when she doesn't)
....................there's just so much more...............
I love you sis, jie...
Happy 22nd.. (:
looking forward to talking to you tonight...
*love ya*
Do you ever have a song, among your thousand and one million mp3s that you never really take notice?
A song that sounds really nice, a song that you can hum to, but you never really know the lyrics?
Well, i discovered such a song on Sunday. In church. At Power and Praise.
We sang " I can only imagine"
I could recognise the tune almost immediately, but when i read the lyrics, i realised what i've been missing all these while..
they are truely meanful lyrics.. (so beautiful to me, i put them on my blog, look right!)
I was really touched..
i mean, can one ever imagine what it'd be like?
To face our Father? To see His face? To be in His physical presence?
To be in His heavenly courts?
Can you?
