Brokeback Mountain

Part of my feelings (other than confusion) of leaving the movie theatre yesterday was similar to what i felt after watching Troy. Now, this is Bimbo me talking.. I go watch Troy thinking "oh.. Brad Pitt.. i like.. :P" but i walk out thinking "Eric Bana is so hot! why didn't i see it in the Hulk??"

Now, for Brokeback, i go in thinking, even if this movie sucks for me with its themes and all, at least there's yummy Heath Ledger.. and i leave thinking "oh my.. Jake Gyllenhall is so so dishy.. :)" he's got the most amazing dreamy eyes.. too bad he's looking at a guy in the show *swoon*

ahh.. forgive me..and let Bimbo me out..just for a while..

it rarely happens.. :P

Seeing 2 guys kissing is SO bizarre..

But them doing more, acting like a couple, lovey-dovey, squabbles and all, is just nerve-wreaking..

Initially, I felt quite disturbed, but toward the end of the show, Lee Ang made it so poignant and heart-wrenching.. so much so that now, I feel guilty for feeling sorry for them.. its so clearly wrong (QT this morning reinforced it), but cinematography and music can create sympathy even from the most unacceptable of all situations... that's the danger in watching Brokeback Mountain i think..

and i wonder, will straight guys start to rethink their sexual orientation after this show? will they 'realise' their gay? Will this show give boldness for more of them to 'come out of the closet', just like the girls' school Les phenomenon lately? :/
